I never did fit in with you guys. I know. I can tell.
I'm the odd one out. I'll never be as close to you guys as you already are. I just deluded myself into believing I could.
I always wanted somebody I could trust. Somebody not related to me by blood, or from my distant past. I've never tried so hard before. I tried so hard. I fooled so many people, I almost fooled myself. Thought that maybe - just maybe - I could fit in.
But you don't know who my true self is. Nobody does. Heck, not even I do.
Not like anybody would bother with a weakling like me.
Why? Every time I try, I just get hurt. I just get used, and like a forgotten doll from your childhood, I'm tossed away when a newer, better doll catches your attention.
So many times, I've wanted to break down and cry. So close to giving up, yet I didn't. Keep fighting, I told myself. For the sake of happiness. Keep holding on, keep struggling, keep facing the world.
And yet, I don't feel happy.
